Forcepoint DLP given highest score for the Regulatory Compliance Use Case by Gartner, positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise DLP AUSTIN, Texas – May 2, 2017 – Global cybersecurity leader Forcepoint today announced strong data protection momentum driven by enterprise customers adopting centrally managed data loss prevention (DLP) solutions and market recognition including:
  • For the second year in a row, Gartner scored Forcepoint DLP highest for the Regulatory Compliance Use Case in its 2017 Critical Capabilities for Data Loss Prevention report. 1
  • For the ninth time, Forcepoint has been positioned by Gartner in the “Leaders” quadrant  of the 2017 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise DLP.2
  • A growing number of large enterprise organizations are implementing Forcepoint’s people-centric security solutions that deliver better compliance, intellectual property (IP) protection and visibility into critical data wherever it resides. Enterprise customers that have selected Forcepoint DLP security products include Honda, Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche and Finansbank.
“Global enterprises are recognizing the vital connection between protecting people and securing critical IP and data,” said Heath Thompson, senior vice president and general manager of the Data and Insider Threat Security business at Forcepoint. “We believe that recent customer adoption and Gartner’s recognition are strong proof points of our capacity and commitment to quickly identify, understand and stop the riskiest users and activities in any environment.” Forcepoint’s cybersecurity solutions protect the human point of interaction between people and critical data—where technology is most enabling and security is most vulnerable—with intelligent systems that understand user behavior and intent. Forcepoint DLP products fuse user behavior and analytics with deep knowledge of file content, such as the types of data that are most valuable to each customer. This allows Forcepoint to provide a framework for regulatory compliance through the enforcement of data use policies, preparing organizations for legislation such as GDPR while preventing unauthorized use of data or identifying high-risk users. Forcepoint’s leadership in enterprise DLP continued to be recognized by industry analysts. For the second year in a row, Forcepoint DLP received the highest product score (4.08 out of 5) for the regulatory compliance use case by Gartner in its latest Critical Capabilities Report. In addition to receiving the highest score in Regulatory Compliance Use Case, Forcepoint DLP scored 4.06 out of 5 for IP Protection and 4.07 out of 5 for Data Visibility and Monitoring. Enterprises swiftly identify data theft risks on-premises and in the cloud For Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.P.A, one of the largest global suppliers of industrial plants and equipment for the metal industry with more than €3 billion annual revenues and 11,000-plus employees worldwide, extending protection from on-premises to the cloud has improved regulatory compliance, increased visibility on employee intent and lowered the risk from accidental insiders. “Thanks to Forcepoint DLP, we could significantly increase the degree of awareness and attention. This allowed us to highlight accidents due to lack of employee awareness or pure distraction,” said Fabrizio Paolini, IT security manager at Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.P.A. Finansbank, one of Turkey’s top five largest banks with over $300 billion in assets and 12,000 employees, improved controls to detect and prevent internal data theft. “The most important thing that we are trying to protect is the reputation of Finansbank, which is priceless for us,” said Ahmet Taskeser, leader of Finansbank’s Security Incident Management department. “Protecting a high-profile financial institution serving millions of customers requires advanced data loss prevention that proactively stops inbound and outbound threats as well as preventing data from going where it shouldn’t.”
